Presentations, workshops, feedback etc

If you'd like to hire me for presentations, training, workshops etc, please get in touch. I am a trainer for the British Library and the UK electronic Information Group, and have worked with organisations to deliver in-house training, including the Bodleian Libraries and the Open University. You can see a list of my presentations and workshops here.

All sessions are tailored to the individual needs of the institution or group involved, but the majority of  half-day or full-day workshops I run are on the following themes:

  • Marketing your service (all aspects of marketing, including creating a marketing strategy, launching new services etc)
  • Marketing with social media (the specifics of using social media as an organisation, which platforms you should be on, how to measure impact and so on)
  • Marketing with new technologies (the more advanced stuff like geolocation, apps, online publishing, using QR Codes effectively, marketing with video, and taking social media to the next level)
  • Presentation skills (tips, techniques, and medium and advanced use of PowerPoint and Prezi to make your message stick)
  •
For obvious reasons I don't usually make the presentation materials from these sessions publicly available, but you can get an idea of what to expect via the LibMarketing Slideshare account.

Feedback from previous events

Embedded below is previous feedback relating to marketing presentations and training, from evaluation forms, reviews and thank you emails. Hopefully the feedback reflects what I try and achieve in these sessions - leaving people and institutions with a clear (jargon-free) sense of what actions they need to take next, and confidence they know how to go about it.
