Another great infographic: why do people unsubscribe from your mailing lists?

Following on from the previous infographic about marketing with email reproduced on this blog, here's another really useful one, from Litmus.com, entitled Why do users become disengaged with your email?

I'm planning a post soon on getting serious with email marketing for libraries, but for now have a look at the infographic - particularly useful are the parts on 'The rules for saving your email' and 'Reasons users unsubscribe from permission emails':

Marketing with email? A useful infographic guide

Marketing with email is actually a tricky business - Alison Wallbutton provides an excellent how-to case study in the Toolkit book, specifically aimed at libraries.

Below is an infographic aimed at the retail sector, from eMarketing Solutions. I think it's important to run libraries like a business (in most respects) and I want to draw from non-library marketing sources for this blog, as there's a lot we can learn from outside our own profession.

For libraries, we're doing most of the stuff below already. It's common sense - but it's worth being reminded anyway! I'd say stages 7, 9 and 10 are some of the most-often overlooked.
